Who it is for

Built for established brokers ready for a stronger form of independence

Fusion is selective. It is designed for firms with the experience, governance, funding and capability to operate successfully as Directly Authorised businesses.

01
External route

Established Directly Authorised brokers

For selected independent DA firms that want greater connection, specialist input and practical support without giving up control.

02
Progression route

Existing Movo brokers progressing to Direct Authorisation

For suitable established Movo AR firms ready for DA status that want to retain their connection to Movo.

Not the DA route for new insurance start-ups

New brokerages join Movo through its Appointed Representative model. AR firms from other networks do not enter Fusion directly under the current proposition.

The broker problem

Independence should not mean building everything alone

DA status brings control and responsibility. Fusion is designed to reinforce capable firms by giving them access to support where it can make a practical difference.

01

Time

Running a DA brokerage means balancing client work with operational, regulatory and commercial demands.

02

Specialist knowledge

Some decisions benefit from experienced input that may not be practical to build into every firm.

03

Market access

Insurer relationships and placement routes need active management as the business develops.

04

Infrastructure

Systems, training, communications and workflow support all take time to maintain well.

Core benefits

Practical support around the areas that matter

The value is not a long list of services. It is what those capabilities help an established brokerage protect, strengthen or do more effectively.

RC

Retain control of your business

Keep your Direct Authorisation, brand, clients, insurer relationships and responsibility for your decisions.

MR

Strengthen market relationships

Access insurer and agency support, escalation routes and placement help where direct access is unavailable.

ST

Access systems and training

Use selected systems support, workflow resources, regulatory training, CPD and development programmes.

SS

Add specialist support

Bring in defined expertise where it adds value, with some specialist services available as paid add-ons.

MC

Connect with the Movo community

Share knowledge, build relationships and stay connected to people who understand independent broking.

NA

Use negotiated arrangements

Access selected Movo-negotiated services, arrangements and commercial benefits where available.

How Movo Fusion works

A considered process built around mutual fit

Joining is a conversation and assessment, not an instant application. The right relationship depends on the firm, its needs and Movo’s ability to support it well.

01
Start with a confidential conversation
Talk through your current position, priorities and what stronger support could look like.
02
Explore the right membership route
Consider Fusion Lite or the broader Full Fusion relationship.
03
Complete assessment and due diligence
Movo and the brokerage establish whether the standards, needs and working approach align.
04
Agree services and prepare onboarding
Confirm the appropriate support, responsibilities, documentation and trading arrangements.
05
Become part of the Fusion community
Begin the agreed relationship with clear points of contact and ongoing support.
Important

DA firms retain their regulatory responsibility. Where a firm is moving from AR to DA status, FCA assessment and timescales sit outside Movo’s control and cannot be guaranteed.

Membership options

Two ways to begin your Movo Fusion relationship

The website should make the difference clear without publishing every operational detail. Final service schedules and commercial terms remain part of a direct conversation.

Fusion Lite

A practical first step into Movo Fusion

A lighter entry point for selected established DA firms that want to experience defined parts of the Movo environment.

Broader relationship
Full Fusion

A broader support relationship around your DA business

Deeper access to Movo capabilities for eligible DA firms seeking a wider, long-term working relationship.

Why Movo Fusion?

Built by people who understand independent broking

Fusion grows from Movo Partnership’s experience of supporting independent insurance businesses through different stages of development.

  • Support without taking over

Your firm remains responsible for its business and decisions.

  • Connected expertise

Access practical support from people who work closely with independent brokers.

  • Relationships that matter

Strengthen insurer, placement and peer connections without replacing your own.

  • A selective community

Standards and mutual fit help protect the value of the wider relationship.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the first conversation

These are working answers based on the current proposition. Regulatory and commercial wording still needs final approval.

What is Movo Fusion?

Movo Fusion is a selective membership proposition for established Directly Authorised insurance brokers. It provides access to defined Movo Partnership support, relationships, infrastructure and community while the firm remains independent and responsible for its business.

Yes. Your firm keeps its own FCA authorisation and regulatory responsibility. Movo Fusion does not transfer that responsibility to Movo Partnership.

No. It was created as a progression route for suitable Movo AR firms, but selected established external DA brokers may also be considered where there is mutual fit.

Not through Movo Fusion. New insurance start-ups enter Movo through the Appointed Representative route, subject to the relevant assessment and approval.

Not directly through Fusion under the current proposition. An AR from another network would first need to join Movo through its AR model.

Fusion Lite is the practical entry point into the Fusion relationship. Full Fusion is the broader long-term relationship, with deeper access to agency support, insurer engagement, systems, management information and specialist services.

No. Direct access will be pursued wherever possible, but agency and product access remain subject to insurer agreement and availability. Placement support may be available where direct access is not.

Fusion can provide compliance resources, regulatory webinars and training. The DA firm remains responsible for its own compliance and governance. A wider compliance module, including audits, may be available as an add-on.

Claims support may be added subject to the agreed service scope, volume, complexity and commercial terms.

Eligible Full Fusion firms may be able to discuss Movo client money support under a separate commercial, contractual and operating arrangement. This is not included automatically.

The first step is a confidential conversation. Movo will then explore suitability, the appropriate membership route, due diligence, services and onboarding.

Timescales depend on the firm, the agreed services, insurer arrangements and any regulatory work. Where a firm is moving from AR to DA status, FCA timescales cannot be guaranteed.

Commercial terms are discussed privately once Movo understands the firm and the appropriate membership route. No public pricing is shown in this prototype.
